Andrés Petro

Andrés Petro is a Psychologist (Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá) specializing in studies of death (University of Quebec, Montreal) and mental health. He studied literature with the writer Carolina Sanín at the Colombian Caro y Cuervo Institute (receiving a diploma in creative writing), at the Universidad de Valencia (Masters in Literary Creation), and at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Editing). His writing concentrates on a range of themes; psychology, death, suicide, and intimate human worlds.
The son of the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, in 2021 he was forced to request political asylum in Canada, where he now lives.
