SPAIN, 1975
Laura Martínez-Belli was born in Barcelona, the daughter of Spanish and Nicaraguan parents, and has lived in Panama, Spain and Mexico. After spending a brief time studying Information Sciences she moved onto History of Art, a field in which she has worked for museums, cultural institutions and art galleries in Madrid and Mexico City. Her novels have reached the top of bestseller lists and have been translated into several different languages. She currently lives in Madrid and combines her writing work with teaching.
