Pilar Sordo
CHILE, 1965
She is a psychologist. She was born in 1965 in Chile, where she lives and works. Thanks to her job as a clinic psychologist and her consultancies at schools and institutions, she developed an investigation about gender issues among teenagers and adults. The results led her to write her first book, ¡Viva la diferencia! (Let's Be Different!), which sold 120.000 copies in several Latin-American countries. Afterwards she published another two best-sellers, No quiero crecer (I Do Not Want to Grow Up) and Lecciones de seducción (Seduction Lessons), which have sold more than 100.000 copies each. Her books are the greatest exponent of popular psychology using a common language that engages readers and, at the same time, helps them to have a better understanding of themselves and the others.
