We’re Not Ghostbusters

SHORT STORIES. SEIX BARRAL, 2018. 256 PAGES

These aren't happily-ever-after stories; they're dark tales of fantasy and science fiction.

This story collection explores the most important issues in the work of Juan Manuel Robles: reflections on the role of memory in the construction of identity and the way in which it can be manipulated to configure beautiful but artificial paradises. Individual identities are undermined while technology is used to construct a dystopian world where social alienation can be wrought by hegemonic powers, an oppressive state, large corporations or even individuals with the power to manipulate reality, playing with it like a child crushing an ant, simply because they can.
