La vuelta completa (All the Way Around) tells two stories that, at heart, are one and the same: Clara is about to leave her husband and son to follow Rey; Pancho, who is incapable of love, feels that he is outside life but is determined to take a decision. What changes between the stories is ‘what can be seen', the scene that is perceived.

With a shattered chronology that undermines causality and a temporal plane fractured by different gazes, the circle in La vuelta completa conveys the impossibility of recounting everything. Reading it, we become fully aware that this is one of Saer's greatest books.
