We Say No. Chronicles (1963-1988)

Eduardo Galeano

NON FICTION, 1989. NEW EDITION SIGLO XXI 2010. 402 PAGES

This book gathers articles and reports published between 1963 and 1988, dealing with topics ranging from Latin American revolutions to the colonial heritage, passing through indigenous myths and prophecies, or interviews with great figures such as Perón, Che or Pelé. A perfect example of how Galeano understood that journalism is not alien to the domains of literature: whether in the form of a chronicle or a book, writing admits no alibis for its poor quality.

Of all the paths, says Angel Rama, the one taken by Galeano is the one that best interpreted the circumstances of the crisis and what it revealed. A refined writer, of delicate sensitivity, at times an aesthete.
